Lewes

The pretty streets of the bohemian market town are lined with independent shops and fantastic pubs and restaurants, including the original Bill’s. With Harvey’s brewery sitting proudly in the centre, Lewes is a food and drink fan’s paradise.

The South Downs Way

Winding along the top of the Downs, this is a footpath that provides an on-top-of-the-world feeling, with 360 degree views for miles around. The route meanders through charming villages and past many a cosy country pub.

Pebbly beach and Brighton's West Pier.

The South Coast

Brighton’s pebbly beach is ideal for shell hunting, and dogs (and humans!) will love sprinting across the sand at Seven Sisters. This part of Sussex boasts miles of coastal path, beaches galore and more sea air than you can shake a stick at.
