Lower transport costs: Your Interrail/Eurail Pass gives us (and therefore you!) access to discounted travel throughout Europe, which helps us keep the price of our trips as low as possible.
Increased flexibility: Unlike full-price train tickets, an Interrail/Eurail pass often allows you to take whichever train you want (availability permitting), allowing you to adjust your plans as you travel.
Set-up required: You’ll need to download and activate your pass using the Interrail/Eurail Rail Planner app (UK-based customers who’ve not booked in a sale or used a voucher code can order a paper version for an additional £34.50).
Time commitment: To make sure everything runs smoothly, you’ll need to invest about 30-90 minutes of your time in the run-up to your trip to do some set-up on your end. We run short, weekly workshops to support this.
Not all departure times/routes are available: Train companies allocate a set number of seats for pass holders. While availability is usually good, some departures may sell out, in which case we’ll book you on the next available train, at no extra cost, of course.
If you'd prefer not to use an Interrail/Eurail pass, we can price your trip with individual tickets. Please write to us at hello@byway.travel to request this, and include the link to the trip you are considering. The price will usually be about 5-10% higher, but this varies from trip to trip, so we will be happy to provide an exact quote.
