The post-lockdown travel timeline

Following government announcements, we've summarised what's likely to be possible, travel-wise, as we walk the path out of lockdown. The images below give you a picture of the plans for England. In Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon has announced that travel should be possible within all of mainland Scotland by 26th April and tourist accommodation should re-open then. In Wales, self-contained accommodation could re-open from 27th March and have suggested a limited opening of tourism around Easter (4th April). In Northern Ireland, lockdown has been extended until the beginning of April.

You can book domestic self-catering holidays with us for one household in England from the 12th April. You can book trips to, from and within Wales from 4th April, and Scotland from 26th April (we'll keep an eye on local restrictions and update your trip if needed). From 17th May you can book Byway trips for six people or two households, self-catering or hotel. We're also taking bookings for trips to France or Italy from 17th May, though we'll be keeping an eye on quarantine/travel rules and updating your trip if needed. After 21st June, anything goes!

If the timelines indicated so far are delayed, we'll move your dates for free or refund you in full (see our Covid refund guarantee).
